Appreciation
There are quite a few people who have been exceptionally kind to me over the past few days. I won’t list them by name, but people have emailed, come by, brought food, called, sent flowers, given cards, tacked up Elvis for me to ride (ok, that was Rachel :-) and given me lots and lots of hugs through tears.
I appreciate it.

The other thing I thought about was I wanted to say special thanks to Lauren, Lundie, Kathy and Rachel for taking pictures of me with Cook. I will always be grateful that they all captured pictures so I will be able to better remember everything about her.

Elvis is a saint. I went with rachel on a trail ride and we even jumped a few jumps. I didn’t really feel like riding, but mere told me that rachel was waiting on me and rachel groomed and tacked up Elvis. All I had to do was put my foot in the stirrup and swing up. I walked mostly, but then after seeing Rachel jump around, I couldn’t resist and had to join in.

I just want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I can only imagine the hurt you are experiencing. Life is sometimes unfair, and we cannot grasp things. Think about all the precious memories that you both shared and think about how lucky she was to have an owner like you.
