regular day at the barn. made final plans to take Ami to Virgina tomorrow. Cam offered to drive down and meet me but I don’t have an appointment time… they are “working me in”. Which means I could be there 30 minutes or I could be spending the night there. :-)

horses were ‘eh’ today. Not terrible but no one went out of their way to cooperate with me. I told this funny at the barn today to a girl who is just visiting.

“When I first started with the boys, I would go “oow!” or “eek!” or “help!” or “stop!” and they would come running!”

“Now I scream………. and no one comes. They figure I have it under control”.

Getting more comfortable with all the stallions now. As I blogged before, I would only mess with 2. Now I can be depended on to tack, hold them or lead them in easy situations (no mares around, not first thing in the AM, not past any other stallions). I can lunge 1 more too (I was proud of myself for getting him out, tacking him up and lunging him all by myself - all the time, whispering to him to please be good and not make this into a “he-got-loose-on-Crystal” story. He was good.)  There is one stallion that I am really warming up to - I really like the way he moves.
