We are expecting rain over the next few days so I decided to ride Cook this AM, even tho she usually gets the day off after shows. I rode in with Ash and Aurin and both were very good. Cook was A+.

Later in the afternoon, I tacked up Cook again to play ‘lead pony’ for a younger person. Its’ where u just set the pace in the gaits (walk, trot, canter) when a younger person is on a new pony OR when Mere is breaking a green horse in (Early, Duly and Aurin all had Cook as the lead pony). Cook didn’t complain when I came and got her (again) to ride, and didn’t complain when we had to trot / canter / trot slow / canter some more / canter some more / trot jumps / canter slow / canter fast / cut corners… u get my point. I asked ALOT of her today and she was sooooooooooooooooooooo good. I love that mare. She really worked for me today. Worked hard and had a good attitude about it.
