Sunday.
Quote of the day: Meredith: “What in the world did you do to that dog’s head?”

So today didn’t exactly work out like I planned.
First off, I got like 2 hours of sleep cause an ex decided to be Chatty Cathy all night. I’m glutton for punishment. Seriously.
Second, I did alot of barn things today. I did accomplish alot but still. I needed a day of rest. Yesterdays’ post! Remember that? I was supposed to be a regular person today!
I’m a perfectionist and a control freak.
So here are my updates.
Ashley rode Cook and she was dern near sound. Wayyyy better than I have seen her go in the past 2 months. So she will have off tomorrow and we will see how she is this week. I asked Ashley to ride her again this week and see how she goes. The left lead was pretty good - no obvious blips. The right lead had 1 kick out and 1 crow hop but for the most part she went FORWARD.
On Thursday I rode Cook as I posted and we jumped some small jumps / did pole work just to do something different. I let her canter away from the jumps and she was sound then. I did not, however, canter her any distances cause she was going so well… that quite frankly I didn’t want to be disappointed.
I am praying that this is a sign of her recovering from whatever muscle / pain soreness / nerve I feel is her problem.
I pulled Cook’s mane today. Cute. :-)

Miss was hacked. She was good.

Tomorrow I’m off! No riding on Mondays! I need to go pull Missy’s mane and clip her. I need to organize all my horse stuff too. It’s everywhere!

Have a good week, everyone. And BTW, if you’re reading this and I asked you to write something for my scrapbook… um… get to it!

Poor Birdie! The hair grows back fast though. I found several places like on my parent’s lab. And one I picked it off because it was huge and I thought it was a tick.

I’m sure I sound like a broken record (what else is new? :embarrass), but you really ought to think about having Harriet work on Cookie (and you while it’s free). I mean if uneducated me found back tension, who knows what she’ll find. And even though you talked about taking her to So. Pines, I think the trailer ride could potentially undo some of the good that guy’s able to do.
Poor Birdie. I had to shave my cat’s leg and belly to get some gunk of her over the summer. She looked really weird since her undercoat is white.

If I was a birdie I would have it bit you.
