I know this blog is out on the web so I try really hard not to put anyone down or call any one or business out.

But I’m super irritated so I am blogging about this.

There aren’t many tack shops around this area to choose from. They aren’t exactly the 7-11’s on the corner. In the past, I have gone to a tack shop in more North Raleigh.  But now, that is not convenient because I live in Cary now.
So the tack shop closer to me has irritated me on a number of occasions. Mostly it’s examples of snooty attitudes but in the last 2 weeks ….

1 - I went in to buy a set of spurs. I explained (which was more than I should even have to) that I ride hot horses and have never had to use spurs, but I was caught at a show without spurs and needed some… “so can you point me to ‘nubbiest’ (smallest) spurs that will fit me?”

I was told that I needed my trainer to come in. The sales person was actually not gonna point out the smallest spurs that would fit me.

Huh?

2 - Two people at my barn got a blanket on sale for 35% off. It’s a pretty nice blanket. I called the store to make sure they had the size blanket that I needed, and didn’t even know the brand. I just described it as the one that is 35% off, blah blah. She finds one and holds it at the counter. I got there to pick it up and they charge me full price saying it was never on sale.

Now I am trying to decide whether to take back the blanket or just eat it and never shop there again.

I don’t know how many people have heard about this but a bunch of tabloids are on Tyra Banks’ case for weight gain.  Are u freaking kidding me ?!?!?!  She’s gorgeous!  Don’t people have more to write about?  Get a life!
