Thursday After Xmas
My spirits were down today so I went out to ride Cook.
She was awesome! Very fun. Very fast. Rode with Ashley and Aurin. We pretty much didn’t walk - trotted and jigged from the start. She cantered nicely and we went over a few low jumps. Very nice!
Here are a few pictures from today.
Here is Ash jumping Aurin.
Here are two pics of Cook and I hopping over a small jump.
It’s days with Cook like this that make everything else better. I have alot on my mind right now and it helped to be with her.
Eric is getting good at the horsie things. yay for him. he’s learning alot. not only that but he takes the best jump pics.. gets them perfect. he takes the best pics of cook and I and I want to think it’s cause he is starting to learn her and her strides. maybe i’m reading too much into it. anyway …
nite all. please tell everyone that u love that u love them everyday cause no one is promised tomorrow.

thanks! u know i’m harder on myself than I need to be. After the jumps I was looking into the camera to see my position and I thought it wasn’t that good. But after I DL-ed the pics, its not bad at all. There’ was only one pic that I’m looking bad on and I know EXACTLY what happened there. I was left behind.
For non-horsey people, to make it simple, ur supposed to go into 2 pt (jump) position at the correct timing of ur horse’s stride into the air (Lauren, is that good wording/explanation?) If ur horse takes off and ur not, ur left behind. If u go into position before they take off, ur jumping ahead of them. People can form a habit with either or. I do both. LOL.

Crys, I always enjoy reading about you & cookie. How a little girl in my arms one night got invited by a young man showing his horse on a lead to just ride around the arena. Four legged wonders & you are meant to be..you hang on to her mane and rode like a pro. Ride’ em girl, RIDE !! I love you, Dad
