You know, I really like the whole getting-ready-to-show part.

Not the tack cleaning you have to do the night before, but the getting dressed part.

I always wear the same thing and put it on in the same way. The routine is soothing.

I wear pantyhose, followed by jodphers, followed by short athletic socks, followed by two pairs of boots socks (3 pairs of socks so my boots don’t rub). I then put jogging pants over my jodphers so they don’t get messed up between here and when I have to school. Since I have to bathe Cook and that will involve water and mess, I’m delaying putting on my boots until there at the show.

On top, I’m wearing a bra and a tight tank top (trying to hold everything down - flopping makes u look worse :-) . I’ll throw my shirt and jacket on after I warm up but before I show.

So I’m almost done here. Time to go and play “mommas dont let ur babies be cowboys” in order to remind me why I’m up at 530am. BTW,got NO sleep last night. Was up many times. Have alot of nerves today.

PS. Rich is in a shooting competition today as well. Wish him luck as well.

today was un-eventful. work. then home. I need to get ready for tomorrow’s show. I’m excited and worked up. I really want to do well and will be disappointed if I don’t. I’m thinking positive and Ash and Lauren will be there to cheer me on.

It’s gonna be a long time before I go to sleep. Which will be bad cause I need to get up early to bathe Cook. I was going to go out to barn tonight but I decided to just hang here and try to relax.

The season finale of the Office was all that I had hoped for!  Dwight cracked me up but of course the big story is Jim and Pam.  Aw~!  I cried when Jim cried.

I LOVE IT.

He told her he loved her!  He told her!!  and they kissed!!

Other good news front…  Ariana won her softball game 16 to 5.  Rich said he never saw kids so excited.  Ariana did extremely well.  She got 5 outs by herself.  (She plays 3rd base).  So I’m very proud of her.  I will try to get down there for at least one game this season.

I was still sort of in a bad, about-ready-to-cry mood all day. Hopefully the rest of this week, I will chill out a bit more.

Haven’t seen Cook for TWO DAYS! Will see her tomorrow. I’m a terrible mother.

I can’t complain about anything in particular but my stress level is extremely high. and did I mention that my skin is paying for it? and my eating habits!? I have to buckle down and eat healthy and take care of myself.

I’m also in a cleaning mood. I am about to sign another lease here (had to take some time to decide because of the extraordinary number of frogs that inhabit this complex… but that’s another story). So I want less stuff in this apt. So I am going to spring clean. Perhaps organizing will make me calm down.

My mom got back from Tennesee fine. She said that things went very well. Rich and I met halfway to get her back to Fayetteville. I struggled on the way back.

Of course, there is a new postsecret about me. There always is.

This postsecret is about me. But in my case, it’s NOT about the first thing that pops into ur head.

I really had a lovely, perfect day today. Although I was exhausted from the baby excitement the previous night/early AM, it was one of those perfect days spent with people I love.

In the AM, I rode with Kevin. He set up a bounce gymmastic for Cook to go through. I had never done 1 before and Cook had never done 1 (well as long as I have had her). I was nervous about it, so Kevin took her through a few times to get it set up for her stride and so she had the hang of it. I got on her and did it a few times. I was still nervous about it, so it wasn’t the most graceful thing, but I actually was decent through the last one, so I quit while I was ahead. :-) I am pretty proud of myself for doing something new.

Afterwards, Mere and I had lunch together. We are always running around so it’s sometimes hard to get together, sit and just be “quiet” with each other. So that was nice.

I hung out at the barn a lil longer cause Cook was acting a little funny. She laid down for the first time EVER that I have ever known her too. It worried me that she wasn’t feeling good. I made some electrolytes into a paste and gave it to her. (I knew she wouldn’t eat it in her food). She seems fine. I guess she was just tired.

So then I left the barn and went and had dinner with Rich. Jeanette and him were up in Raleigh shopping for furniture, so we met at Fuddruckers to have dinner. It was a beautiful, beacutiful day and we were lucky to be able to eat outside cause they brought Bashiedo with them.

Speaking of which! Remember the dog show I had blogged about last week? Well he won 2nd place and made the paper. Read the article here. They misspelled his name. How hard is B-a-s-h-i-e-d-o?? Anyway they have a picture with the article but it’s picture number 2. I went ahead and am putting it below. Poor Basheido. In case u can’t tell, his fur is dyed pink. That ain’t no suit!

I rode at lunch today with Ash Williams and Nikki. Nikki graduated and is moving back to her hometown. CONGRATS, Nikki!

We took down 3 - Cook, Lincoln and Gee.  Nikki hopped on Cook since she won’t be around to experience the “GME” much longer. Ash sat on Lincoln, and I sat on Gee. For the second time ever, I got to ride Gee. It was very yay.
