rode a bunch of horsies today. I’m exhausted.

Cook - good, still off.  everyone sing along!  she’s cute tho and very sweet.  She let a 2 year old sit on her bareback today to take a pic.

Miss was fresh today. She wasn’t bad and she wasn’t pulling on me, but I would have just preferred we do her slow, happy trot instead of her “are we cantering???, are we jumping???” trot. I was just tuckered out by the time I got to Miss. I was literally yawning on her back. Thanks for putting up with me, Miss.

Skylar’s mom took some video of us today, trotting around.

I should be banned from the sitting trot. That’s how bad it is.

I wish I was kidding.

The Office is on tonight. A reason to live.

Rode Cook and Miss. They were both good girls. As I was leaving I stopped by Cook’s pasture. She came up to the fence and began licking my arm. I imagine some would say she was liking the salt from my sweat. I think she was just being weird.

I had an alright day but the barn turned it around. I had a good time on ponies. Emily is back and that’s yay.

OK, gotta go clean up some so I can sit in peace and watch TV before going to sleep.

man, am I glad it’s Friday tomorrow.

I have been in a bad mood for a few days, and although I have cause to be… I’m tired of being sick and tired.

Right now, at this moment, I HAVE to take control of my life.

hey!  I have an issue and I need my fellow bloggers to respond.

First, let me state a few things:

One, for the most part, I try to keep this blog positive.   When I express negativity, it is based on my own fears or my own hurt.  I try to leave feelings of anger out of here.  (Although I do recall one post of telling someone to leave me alone after they made a scene at a bar I was at, but trust me, that was deserved).

Two, I’m not passive aggressive or manic depressive…  another words, what you see is what you get.  I am not nice to someone and then would make snide comments about them in this blog.  When I blog something that is a dig at someone, it usually is in jest or related to a specific incident that happened.

So I’m asking bloggers, if this happens to you?  I blog, and then people take what I said either out of context… or they think it’s about them!   I have had this happen 3 TIMES in the last week… and IT WASN’T ABOUT THEM!

oooh, I have some good reading.  Kathy stopped by the barn and gave me some books and stuff on stretching and muscles groups etc.  I’m into making my horse better, but Kathy has already done this research so I’m just piggy backing off of the work she has already done.  Thanks, Kat, much appreciated.

But I hopped briefly on Cook, even tho I felt like barfing in her mane. I was actually walking down to the ring with her all tacked up, still thinking I should just turn around and go back up.

We briefly worked. She was good.

Prison Break on. Wenty yelled alot tonight. I like him angry. I giggled like a schoolgirl.

Rode 3 today.  I had a first today too.  Mere tacked up all my horses, gave them to me and took the sweaty horse.

That … was…  completely … awesome!

Aw, thanks, Mere!  That was way fun for me.

See, usually I have to do that for other people.  Actually, only one other person.  One other person, who shall remain nameless but is always running late.  Gee, I wonder who that could be?

Cook - well behaved, left lead canter was ok, right lead still off.

Miss - good.  non -eventful

I came home and took a 2 hour nap.  Slept HARD.

tired.

now i’m going to bed to sleep, sleep, sleep.

UPDATE: I’m sore. and now I can’t sleep.

Friday couldn’t come soon enough. I’m fatigued.

I went to the barn after work to check on the girls but mostly I just hung out with Mere, watching Ashley ride. She’s a solid rider. I really have alot of respect for her. Her and Kevin are very pretty riders…. I like watching them jump around.

I didn’t ride cause I ended up going to Theresa’s house for a lil bit to try out some hair styles for her sister who is getting married in a week.

Now I’m home, even more tired.

I’m trying to actually sleep in tomorrow AM. I plan on going to the barn at 330ish in the afternoon.

OK, that’s a lie. I won’t be able to stay away that long. I will prolly be there by noon.

My blog got frogged. :-p Basically you submit ur blog and people at FrogMyBlog review it, comment and then tell you how they think you can make it better.  I got 3 out of 5 ladybugs.  Middle of the road.
so here is what they said.

Turns out that Cookie isn’t a chocolate chip but a horse. Drats, I was kinda hoping for a chewy gooey chocolate chip with walnuts. I’ll get over that though because Cookie is a handsome animal and her equestrian owner turned blogger has centered the blog around the two of them. You’ll find plently of photos in the gallery without ever having to leave the site. I like that, why don’t more people forgo Flicker and keep their photos on their page? Speaking of photos, the masthead is a nice change of pace from the average blog and it sets the mood right away for who Crystal and Cookie are.

aw. yay. so far, so good. She called Cook a handsome animal. yay.

I’d change the blog title on it though because it is too difficult to read.

Yeah, I can see that. the Crystal part is a hard to read.

There is an issue on the front page making the sidebar all wonky and that needs fixed but other than that the sidebar is blissfully clutterfree and easy to navigate.

Yeah, I knew this too. It shows up when viewing this blog in IE. I’m mad at Eric for not fixing this!

As mentioned, the blog centers around she and mostly the horse. Unfortunately Cookie the horse doesn’t appear to be doing well these days so I’ve caught her in the middle of a down time. It isn’t the type of blog that I think will appeal to the average user but I’m a bit surprised she hasn’t gained a following with others in the horse lover niche. If this blog has room to improveit would mostly be in writing more about life as a horse lover and reaching out to other equisterians and getting them to participate more. Personal blogs should be interactive; if people aren’t commenting you probably want to ask yourself why not. For those that say you don’t care about what others think about your writing, why are you posting it on the net again?

Here is to hoping that Cookie gets better soon.

It’s actually a pretty nice review. and actually, I agree. Most people outside of the horse world don’t care about this blog, with the few exceptions of my friends and family who read this on the regular. I do wish that people would comment more, but sometimes there isn’t anything a non horse person can respond to. You can only say ‘good well, Cook’ so many times.

I do think it was especially nice for the blog reviewers to say she hopes Cook gets better soon. That makes me happy.

Cook was good today. Better… but still not sound at the canter. Mere tried to be comforting about saying she was much much much better but still… sigh. not fixed. So I will keep working and we will see.

So glad that tomorrow is Friday. Looking forward to the weekend. I’m going over Theresa’s tomorrow night, and maybe trying to go out-out on saturday night, and meanwhile riding every day. The only thing about Saturday night is that I can’t stay out too late cause I have an early morning lesson on Sunday morning.
