So I blog about everything good so I guess I should be fair and blog about a bad.

I fell off Miss today.  I was due for a fall.  Been a while.
Pure and simple, it was completely 100% my fault.  I made a mental error, and as a result, ended up on the ground.

Mere was pretty sympathetic and consoled me… we all make mistakes.  I just hate making a really dumb one, and yeah, I’m having trouble letting it go.  I hate doing dumb stuff!  Especially dumb stuff when the mare ur riding is being completely awesome.

Anyhow, I’m completely fine.  I’m sure in the morning I will be a lil sore but I seem to have escaped any bruises, etc.

Oh!  After I fell, know what Miss did?  Stood right there.  Didn’t step on me and didn’t run away.  Sigh.  Thanks, friend.

Hopefully tomorrow will be less eventful.

I wish I could come up with better titles than the day of the week… I’m boring, what can I say?

My mom is in town to go to the hospital tomorrow, so I won’t be able to ride tonight. That is ok, because I rode both girls yesterday. I hacked out Miss in the pasture - non-eventful.

Cook. Sigh. She was well behaved, of course. She was going ok at the trot, and I let her canter on her own and she was gimpy. Way gimpy. Threw me out of the saddle gimpy. So I got off, took the reins off and free lunged. She was gimpy when free lunging. Worse than when Mere and I did it. So I have another week until Fernando gets back.

To wrap up the 3 day weekend, I had a lovely time.  I rode Miss, my barnmate Rachel rode Cook.  Cook is still off at the canter but that’s ok.  She still has some time to let the shots work.  I was glad that Rachel took out Cook cause she needed to be worked and my muscles are sore from riding so hard in the past couple of days.

I did video all evening!  Eric gave me the upgrade to a software program and I love it!  Fun!  Alot easier than the method I was doing.  So I have TONS of video, folks.  I am still putting together the page but I promise tonight, I will go ahead and release what I have.  So that will be my new thing for a lil while… video-ing!

Prison Break = hour of awesome-ness.  I love that show.  Sigh.  Marry me, Wenty.

My only complaint is that the show has the most amount of ‘villians’ that I have ever seen.  EVERYONE is a bad guy!

I have alot of video that I need to get captured for barn folks (and Lauren) but I am having technical difficulties. So I will get that up when I can.

I rode both Cook and Miss.

Cook was un-eventful - just walk, trot until we give the Legends time to work. She has one more shot in the series. She was a lil fresh cause I hadn’t been on her in a few days. I didn’t work her hard… today was just trying to get her back under saddle. Tomorrow I will try to get her to trot out more. We need to keep it up.

I rode in a group lesson this AM. Everyone in our group was good. All horses behaved. Miss was very well behaved, especially for the lesson setting. She’s better when we are on our own. A couple of reasons might be the starting/stopping when waiting our turn, and the repetition that is inherent in lessons. Once Miss has figured out what we are doing, she tends to get a lil up. Gosh, I have alot of respect for that mare.

Now for a funny. I have NEVER in my ENTIRE life seen a horse so dirty!! This is my friend Emily and her horse Taylor. Apparently there is a mud hole in Taylor and Cook’s pasture. Cook better not even -think- about it tonight!!

Morning barn work. Mere and I did it together so it went quick. I like being out there, when it’s just me and her working, playing with horses. I was too tired tho, to ride. I am gonna go back out this afternoon and ride (after I take nap).

3ish - I went back out to the barn and hopped on Miss.  Mere came down and gave me a mini lesson.  We worked on jumping WIDER jumps.

I had a ball.  Miss was awesome!  Mere was awesome!  Kathy was awesome for keeping us company!

I really have had a huge adrenline high going as of late when we ride well.  My confidence is really coming back, and I think my riding is getting better and better.  I’m definitely a stronger rider.

When I was riding today, some of my flaws were exposed.  It’s good tho cause its definitely stuff that I can improve on during practice rides.

I have no plans except to ride ALLLLL weekend!!  I will pretend that I won the lottery and this is my life.  Playing ponies!

Need to go to bed in order to get up in the AM.
