Grief is.
“Grief is the price you pay for Love” - (Barbaro’s owners).
I was talking to a friend on the phone and telling them how different Birdie has been since Caddie died. It’s like she just grew up overnight. My playful, never-listening, always trouble dog has turned into a quiet, wanting-to-please, always with me dog. I wouldn’t go so far as to say she is sad… but she is much more reserved.
Aw. I miss her too, Bird Dog.

Speaking of Birdie, this is sort of funny. Was watching American Idol in the bedroom and coming into the living room to work on the computer for a few minutes during commercials. Birdie is curled in bed with me and I get up, she follows. Then she tries to lay on the futon, gets comfortable and then I go back into the bedroom.
I could see her cussing in her eyes. “Geez, find a spot and lay it down! I’m tired of following you back and forth, Mom!”
