Nikki, I feel ur pain… (read her blog about the wind)

Today was windy as hell here (2nd day in a row) and it was sort of chilly all day. Did not make for a good day at the barn. It wasn’t BAD - I managed to stay on! But I had several arguments with Missy, who seemed to have her own agenda today… and listening to me was not on the top of the priority list. Two other people in the ring had issues with their horses as well. It was like there was something in the water.

I gave Cook the day off. She is kicking out so I might trot her the next few days and see how she is… I don’t want to do anything that would set back off lameness.

I did ride a second horse and that went pretty well. I’m tired tho.

Oh I have a funny before I go.  It has been hard for me to find sugar cubes in grocery stores…  I thought Cook will love them!  she is extremely picky but loves sweet feed and i have to sometimes mix her meds with molasses to get her to eat them…  so I found them in Harris Teeter!!

Took them out to the barn.

She won’t eat them.

&%#$#) horse!  Highest maintenance, pickiest eater I know!

Cook kicked out a bunch today… so I don’t know if she is feeling well.  I will monitor her tomorrow and see.  Update tomorrow.

I have that person. I’m not sure of what exactly they get out of picking a fight.

Birdie started her diet today. The vet says she needs to lose 4 pounds. So she only gets one itty bitty little tiny cup of food a day.

Poor bird dog.

Apparently everything I own is fat right now…

I didn’t go out to the barn today.  It was supposed to rain (even tho it didn’t at lunch) but I didn’t go out because 1) I had stuff to do and 2) I was tired.  I haven’t had good sleep the past 2 nights so I have been struggling a lil.  So tomorrow the girls will be off again and I will ride again over the weekend.
