It is a week of pictures because we took alot this weekend. I looked over each one with meredith so that way we could see my position and hopefully, correct things that need to be corrected.

I will post more later.

I have more to say about my lesson and some of the things on these pics but I’m rushed for time.

This is where my love for Cook began. In 1979. I was 4.

I went out to the barn right after work but I left without riding. Sometimes things happen that takes the wind out of your sails.

But when I got home, I decided to head back out around 8pm and go ride Cook. We had a relaxed time walking an trotting in the ring. She’s stiff from lack of work. She’s also rusty on her cues. I really have to make a good effort to pay more attention to her under saddle. So I need to make an effort to go out and ride even when I’m tired. She’s also too fat right now.

I’m really glad things are turning out the way they are. I am riding more and I’m happier.

Wed - I went to the barn around 6 when it got bear-able to ride and rode the Miss. I am trying to work on both of our stamina’s. So we did a ton of flatwork and I tried to really canter onnnnnnn, even when my calf was burning. She was a good good girl. I had thoughts of getting Cook out as well but that ended up not happening as I was a sweaty mess when I was done.

Today is hotter than hell. It’s supposed to be the “way hot” day this week so I am going to try and let it cool off and then head to the barn close to sunset in order to ride.

Everyones blog is sort of dead and there’s not much activity here either. I guess its’ summer and not much is happening. I have no big vacation plans but I plan on taking a few days here and there to go to the beach and to a few horse shows. Other than that, it’s the same old same old.
