State Fair Madness

By Crystal at 9:01 pm on October 15, 2007 | Nobody loves me

I have been MIA cause I have been at the State Fair for the horse show all weekend.  Not much to tell, the kids did well.  It was Youth Day, so you had to be 18 and under to show.  I took Miss for more HHC experience.  She was good and it was non-eventful.  We got to school a few times and she was well behaved, non spooky and run of the mill.  Our first school, there was a trailer unloading horses and making a bunch of racket right next to the ring, so Miss’s attention was on that, and not on me, but she’s not stupid, so it wasn’t a big deal.

Rachel got to take Miss in a class and I was pleased how she handled her.  Miss is no easy ride, and it has taken me months to learn her.  So I was impressed that Rachel got her around pretty well.

Cam and Whit came down to house hunt for Whit.  I didn’t get to see them much because I was at the show all weekend but we did manage to steal some time for dinner.  fun.  I want them to come back soon.

Lundie’s from Lundie’s Photography took a few shots of Cooks face that I LOVE.  I’m gonna scan them and put them as posts over the next few days in between dead time when not much is going on.  Aw, shes’ so pretty.

I turned the girls out and saw Cook pawing the water. I ran to the jeep to grab my camera. Here are the shots.

Missy’s the first to go down.

Sun Night

By Crystal at 4:57 pm on | Nobody loves me

I rode Miss on Sun night and she was EXCELLENT. We jumped around in front of Mere. I was very very happy with the Miss. I am going to take her to the complex this weekend to jump around and then I have to figure out where we are to show after that.

I rode Cook too. She was nice and chill.

Sat: I had a pretty easy day.  I did the barn in the AM, rode Missy who was good, went home and napped, went and rode Cook, fed the barn and then Rich came up.  We went out to dinner.

Sun:  Did the barn in the AM, and gonna ride this afternoon.

trying to rest easy before the Youth Day State Fair next weekend.

Quiet Moments

By Crystal at 8:07 pm on October 5, 2007 | Nobody loves me

I could have had the day off from the barn but I went out around 7 just to see the girls.  I had given Cook a bath earlier that day and she still smelled of horsey shampoo.  She was soft and clean and her usual affectionate self.  Miss was pretty affectionate too.  She ended up chasing Cook away, wanting me to keep rubbing on her.  I love those girls.
