Still having a miserable time and want to go home. Feeling slightly better, but still haven’t eaten since the drive up here.

Having an absolutely miserable time. Cannot wait to go home. Got zero sleep
Crystal and J left Raleigh about 2pm (the horses left a day earlier). Both got sick, a stomach bug has been going around the barn. So the drive isn’t goin well. They were hoping to make it to Lexington tonight, but ended up stopping in West Virginia.

I’m exhausted and I have nothing packed. I feel a little under the weather. I wish I had a personal assistant that could pack for me and pat me on the back until I went to sleep.
Also… do my laundry. Wash the dishes. Bring me margaritas.
Le sigh.
rode, lunged, bathed horsies.
I had awesome rides today.
nothing much going on. Leaving for lexington in a day.
birdie is exploring her new career in ‘feline transportation’.
She keeps picking up the kittens up and moving them around.
:-)
actually its not that bad.
However, this got me today.
The ex that has been coming around has a POS brother. Always in trouble. Always up to no good. ex is always bailing brother out of said trouble.
Ex calls me and complains about latest trouble with brother.
I sigh and I’m like are you surprised!!?!?! Hello.
So then he gets defensive and slightly pissy at me because I’m like ‘uh. yeah. trouble. always has, always will.’
So I’m like ‘look, what do you want me to say or do? When I say leave him alone, you get mad’!
should blog about Ami.
I have decided he has to go back to being a real horse. Since his fracture, I have mostly hand grazed him. He’s not really supposed to hand walk for miles, but hand grazing is ok. For the most part, he is pretty good, but a stall rested horse… just starts to lose it. I walked him into the indoor the other day and it was SCARY. It’s hard when a 17.1 hand horse decides to lose it on you. He has bolted and gotten away from me once, so I try and be extra careful to make sure I don’t let go of him.
So anyway, after the indoor incident, I decided enough was enough. He has to start being real again, even on stall rest. So for the past 2 days, I have walked him to scary places, asked him to back down the hallways, made him stand in all the crossties in all the barn aisles (4!), walked him in the parking lot where there is scary construction / machines going on, etc, etc. So that is my plan going forward.
He has to start getting back to reality.
had a pretty decent day. rode a few, came home at a decent hour.
Still waiting to hear back from some folks before I tell everyone what I’m doing.
Hope everyone else is doing well in Blogland.

Oh I forgot to blog the other day that Lindsey and I went to see Cook. She is buried on the farm, but it was the first time I went back there. The day after she was buried, Aaron took me to show me, but I barely remembered. I was in a fog and medicated. So I decided to trail ride to where she was, and Lindsey was kind enough to go with me. I was glad to be on a really good trail horse. He is a solid citizen.
